Q. What if no lawyer accepts my case?

Answer:

The lawyers in your chosen city have 72 hours to carry out the Conflict of Interest checks. If no lawyer is able to perform a “clean” conflict test within that time you will be sent an email informing you. As some cities may only have 2 lawyers it is a possible outcome.

At this point log back into our site and re-enter the Plaintiff and Defendant details and select another city close to you and re-submit your case. As part of our privacy policy we’ve deleted the plaintiff and defendant details off our system so you will have to re-enter them.

If the city where your case is “accepted” by a lawyer is too far from where you live, you may have to find an alternative method of meeting with your lawyer such as Zoom. This will mean that you will need to take copies of all of your evidence and either email or courier it to your lawyer before the meeting.

We had a very serious bullying issue with our daughter Paige at high school which required us to get a lawyer involved. The lawyer practiced in Auckland and she took the 90 minute flight to Christchurch to meet with us. We had to pay her costs in this case as we were being charged by the hour. The police were also involved and a successful solution was found.
